Trust Foundation Doctor in Urology

Job summary
The Trust Foundation doctor will be responsible for day to day care of urological patients under supervision of consultants and specialist registrars. Active participation in regular in-patient work and on-call work, including management of emergency cases, is expected and forms an essential part of training. 1-7 night on-call rota as first on call for urology. There will also be opportunities to attend Theatre and day case and learn minor urological procedures like Flexible cystoscopy.
Main duties of the job
There are ample opportunities for training, clinical research and audit. There are weekly uro-oncology multidisciplinary and Uroradiology meetings. The post-graduate centre is on site and offers a weekly lunchtime teaching session. In addition to the above there are symposia and regular lectures offered at the postgraduate medical centre. It is expected that you attend the specialty induction programme and structured appraisals.
