The Role – Construction Site Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Construction Site Supervisor to support our civils department on a range of renewable energy construction projects. As our Construction Site Supervisor, you will support and work with multidisciplinary teams and you will be instrumental in ensuring the civils department meets the global construction requirements of the company. You will be responsible for providing practical guidance, supervising construction projects and coordinating teams.


Key Responsibilities will include the following:  

•Assisting the Senior Project Manager with planning, scheduling and supervision of numerous construction projects.

•Work to the CDM regulation, write and review RAMS and monitor site safety

•Supervising and Coordinating contractors whilst on site and carrying out site inductions

•Maintaining progress against the schedule in line with H&S, quality, time and cost. Communicating any issue to the wider management team 

•Providing a high level of technical knowledge; with the ability to provide solutions to technical problems.

•Organising and ensuring that sufficient plant, labour, and subcontract resources are available to make sure timelines of the department are achieved.

•Responsible for the Health & Safety requirements of projects including the management of risk assessments, permits and workplace inspections.

•Supervise the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control. 


The Person

The successful candidate will be confident in supervising construction projects and be able to effectively manage teams. 

•Strong communication skills - for liaising with a range of clients, professionals, workers and contractors on site

•Leadership skills and an ability to motivate your team to ensure a high standard of work.

•Resilience and problem-solving skills - to overcome unexpected challenges during the construction process.

•A strong attention to the finest detail while still considering the project as a whole.

•Have experience with supporting mechanical and M&E disciplines

•Ability to work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure.

•Health & Safety qualifications in construction

•Full UK driving license.
