The Role – Construction Site Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Supervisor to support our civils department on a range of renewable energy construction projects. As our Construction Site Supervisor, you will work with multidisciplinary teams and be instrumental in ensuring the civils department meets the global construction requirements of the company.

Key Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assisting the Senior Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and supervision of numerous construction projects.
  • Working to the CDM regulation, writing and reviewing RAMS, and monitoring site safety.
  • Supervising and coordinating contractors while on site and carrying out site inductions.
  • Maintaining progress against the schedule in line with H&S, quality, time, and cost. Communicating any issues to the wider management team.
  • Providing a high level of technical knowledge, with the ability to provide solutions to technical problems.
  • Organizing and ensuring that sufficient plant, labor, and subcontract resources are available to meet the department's timelines.
  • Responsible for the Health & Safety requirements of projects, including the management of risk assessments, permits, and workplace inspections.
  • Supervising the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labor force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control.

The Person

The successful candidate will be confident in supervising construction projects and able to effectively manage teams.

  • Strong communication skills for liaising with a range of clients, professionals, workers, and contractors on site.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate your team to ensure a high standard of work.
  • Resilience and problem-solving skills to overcome unexpected challenges during the construction process.
  • A strong attention to detail while considering the project as a whole.
  • Experience with supporting mechanical and M&E disciplines.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Health & Safety qualifications in construction.
  • A full UK driving license.
