Handforth, United Kingdom Vets for Pets Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Client Service Advisor to join our team at Newcastle Vets for Pets.

About Us:
We are an established yet growing first opinion small animal practice located in the Benton area just outside of Newcastle city centre. We are ideally located with excellent bus and metro transport links and plenty of on-site parking.

Our spacious practice is well equipped with on-site theatre, digital Xray, ultrasound machine, dental Xray, in-house laboratory, pharmacy, separate dog and cat wards, four consult rooms and a large, dedicated colleague room.

About the Team and Culture:
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of nineteen people who are looking forward to welcoming you into the family. You will be working in a practice where your opinions matter, your feelings are respected, and your work life balance and wellbeing are a priority.

Newcastle Vets for Pets is driven by our exceptional standards in patient care, and we work hard to offer the best service possible to our clients while always looking out for each other. We also like to play hard and regularly organise team outings such as Go-Ape, life drawing, laser tag, meals out and mini golf as well as lunch time takeaways and an annual team bake off competition.

The wellbeing of all our colleagues is hugely important, and management are always actively looking for ways to improve and support the health and wellness of the team. We encourage colleagues to take regular breaks whenever they need them and to feel like they can speak openly if something is not working well or if they are not feeling their best.

Colleague pets are also welcome at the practice during your shift and are never short of cuddles when they’re here.

About the Role:
We are looking for a caring, motivated and organised individual who is interested in joining our client care team. Your main responsibilities will include:

Manage and deal with appointment bookings in a professional and efficient manner using the in-practice database system.  Receive clients and their animals for appointments, being sensitive to their needs and promoting a professional image at all times.  Manage and deal with practice communications, including telephone calls, emails and other digital platforms.  Support with various administration tasks including marketing, health plan management, receipting of stock, client enquiries, document storage and retention and social media.  Work with the client care team to ensure that the reception and non-clinical areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and are presentable at all times. Comply with Health & Safety Regulations and all practice policies and procedures.

This is a Part Time Role working 31.5 hours per week including every Saturday (9am – 12pm) - There is no out of hours or Sunday work, and we close most bank holidays which means you’ll never have to work Christmas Day

We are ideally looking for someone with customer service and administration experience, including excellent computer skills and telephone manner. Experience in a clinical or veterinary environment is advantageous but not essential as you will be fully trained on the knowledge required for the role.

Location : NE7 7DX

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you
