Handforth, United Kingdom Vets for Pets Full time

We are currently seeking a new graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and vivacious team. As a rapidly expanding and standalone small animal practice with an exceptional reputation, we are lucky to have a lovely spacious and welcoming clinic; which is fully equipped with 4 consulting rooms (including a bereavement room), and separate cat, dog and isolation wards.

We are an ISFM cat friendly (Silver) practice, and are proud to be able to offer fantastic facilities including digital radiography, ultrasound and K-Laser, and with a wide and varied caseload. Alongside our knowledgeable and supportive nurses, we possess a wealth of experience within our veterinary team, including three certificate holders and actively encourage certificates amongst our team as part of CPD and progression.

Visiting specialists (orthopaedic, cardiology, ophthalmology) provide additional in-house learning opportunities and support, contributing to job satisfaction and career development.

We have a qualified GDP advisor in house, and have experience in providing the valuable foundations essential to a new graduates integration into clinical practice There is also the possibility of obtaining a place on the group’s graduate scheme; which is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate to benefit from a structured CPD framework and a supportive graduate network in the early years.

With approachable, flexible and caring partners, we strive to operate to the highest of standards whilst ensuring an excellent work-life balance for our team. Based near Stonehenge in beautiful Wiltshire, we have easy access to the A303 and South West including Salisbury and surrounding areas.

We are looking for an outgoing and articulate individual who is able to demonstrate a strong level of communication and organisational skills, being able to manage everyday surgical and medical procedures alongside client care; with the support of our excellent team. This position is full time and includes a 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and no OOH.

Location: SP4 7FL
