Unsted Park School is a specialist residential and day school/6th form college for children and young people with higher functioning autism. We are committed to providing the highest level of education and care in a safe, positive environment that enables each individual to achieve his or her maximum potential.

The focus of the whole school approach is in three core areas: education, independence and inclusion. Based on these core areas we provide individual, child-centred programmes which recognise individual abilities and strengths and help students to reach their full potential.

The role of the Therapy Assistant is to work within the Therapy Team across all disciplines to support our learners to achieve their outcomes in line with their ECHP. Duties will include:

Assisting trained clinicians with the preparation Planning and delivery of group and one-to-one occupational therapeutic and recreational activities Observing recording and reporting to the assigned clinician as appropriate Creating appealing visual resources for sessions Managing a caseload of students planning, running, and recording 1:1 and group therapy sessions across various therapies Assists with the assessment and transition of new learners ensuring they are familiar with the environment Creation of initial supporting documentation such as Individual Placement Plans and Provision Maps Ensures the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records, case files and computerised information systems as directed while responding to routine enquiries and standard requests for information in accordance with policies and procedures IT Skills such as word and excel to contribute to surveys, the collection, analysis and presentation of data and information as directed

All clinical work to be observed or monitored.
