Let us tell you about the role

As Head of Pricing and Performance you will play a critical role in developing and delivering pricing strategies for the Motor Business Line that help build growth in the balance sheet, whilst collaborating closely with the Commercial Sales Director when developing customer and portfolio insights. Whilst Cardiff is our operational base for Motor, we have offices in Reading, Manchester and London and this role can be based in any of these sites.

You will lead relevant stakeholders within MotoNovo and across the wider Aldermore Group, attending various pricing forums, articulating technically complex issues in non-technical terms.

The Head of Pricing and Performance will interpret and embrace modelling concepts, modelling outputs and independent sources of Benchmarking data in order to influence commercial appetite. This will include pricing strategies as we look to further grow a sustainable Motor business as part of the overall Group strategy.

What will your day look like?

The role of Head of Pricing & Performance is really important to us. You will be responsible for:

Pricing:

  • Ownership of the Motor Pricing Forum agenda and materials, including continuous review of pricing performance outcomes and effective business mandates
  • Establishing strong governance controls over the end to end pricing process within the Motor business, ensuring key controls are well documented and tested through the RCSA process
  • Ownership of the Group Trading Committee submission and content
  • Setting direction for and effectively managing the pricing team

Performance Insight:

  • Using portfolio metrics and KPIs to measure business performance in a way that informs a truly customer centric approach to pricing, using a broad range of data sources
  • Working closely with the second line to identify emerging macroeconomic risks
  • Working closely with the Head of Portfolio Management to understand credit decisioning impacts on pricing
  • An understanding of the market dynamics which are driving changes in the value of New and Used Vehicles, making suitable and proactive adjustments in response to any perceived changes to the long-term underlying outlook for vehicle valuations

What do we expect from you

  • Evidence of driving change and implementing model improvements and enhancing financing performance
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Experience in evaluating business performance in both a strategic and commercial context in a financial sector institution
  • Ability to influence across all levels of the organisation, including at Executive Committee level
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
