The Senior Civils Manager willlead the project team manage resources effectively and collaboratewith clients and stakeholders to achieve projectgoals

Duties andResponsibilities

  • Planmanage and coordinate civil engineering projects from inception tocompletion.
  • Develop project strategiestimelines and budgets in collaboration withstakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress andperformance against established plans.
  • Lead andmanage a team of engineers site managers subcontractors and supportstaff.
  • Assign tasks set priorities and provideguidance and support to team members.
  • Foster acollaborative and productive workenvironment.
  • Ensure that all work meetsrequired quality standards and regulatoryrequirements.
  • Implement quality controlprocedures and conduct regular inspections andaudits.
  • Address any nonconformities and takecorrective actions as necessary.
  • Promote andmaintain a strong health safety and environmental culture onsite.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulationsand company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessmentsand implement mitigation measures.
  • Establishand maintain strong relationships with clients consultants and keystakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively withstakeholders to manage expectations and resolveissues.
  • Provide regular project updates andreports to stakeholders as required.
  • Monitorproject costs and expenditures against approvedbudgets.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities andmanage financial resources effectively.
  • Preparefinancial reports and forecasts for senior managementreview.
  • Administer contracts includingtendering processes negotiation and contractmanagement.
  • Ensure that all contractualobligations are met and disputes are resolvedpromptly.
  • Manage variations and claims inaccordance with contractterms.

Skills andExperience

  • Provenexperience as a Senior Civils Manager Leading a team of 5 directreports and in excess of 30 teams
  • Strongleadership and management skills with the ability to motivate anddevelop teams.
  • Excellent project managementskills including planning scheduling and resourcemanagement.
  • Sound knowledge of health safetyand environmental regulations.
  • Effectivecommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to buildrelationships and negotiateeffectively.
  • Commercial acumen and experiencein contract management and costcontrol.
  • Problemsolving skills and the abilityto make decisions underpressure.
