Chemical Process Engineer

CK Group are recruiting for a Chemical Process Engineer to join a chemical manufacturing company at their site in Chesterfield. The first 12-months will be primarily based at the company’s head office in Chesterfield with occasional travel to existing customer sites and equipment vendor factories.

The Role:

Performing sizing calculations and/or operational experience of Heat Transfer equipment Involvement in projects or plants with powder handling equipment Mapping a processand constructing process flow diagrams Developing P&ID’s and layout sketches Writing scopes of work for equipment vendors and plant installation contractors. Has interfaced with control systems by defining interlock schedules and specifyingthe logic for sequence operations.

Your Background:

Degree qualified Chemical Engineer. At least 5-years of experience in a projects role or working within the chemical manufacturing industry. Experience of applying mass & energy balances in industry or in process design roles. Proficient in pressure drop calculations and selecting pumps or fans.
