ARI Armaturen UK Ltd. is a subsidiary of a large German engineering company specialising in the manufacture of valves & steam traps for steam, hot water, thermal oil systems. We produce an extensive range of equipment, including:
- Isolation Valves (Bellows Sealed, packed gland and butterfly valves)
- Control valves with pneumatic & electric actuators
- Check valves & strainers
- Pressure reducing & safety valves
- Balancing valves
- Steam traps
- Heat exchange packages
- Condensate Recovery Units
Join a multi-disciplined team at a leading international valve manufacturer. This is a key role for an experienced, goal-driven sales manager with broad sales and engineering experience covering the North Midland, England (M62 Corridor).
Responsible for selling a wide variety of medium & low pressure valves and control related products into contractors, OEMs, end-users and distributors with particular focus on the food & beverage, NHS, General Industry, chemical and process markets. Working to support our business ventures will involve selling to existing customers, winning new business and managing / chasing project sales opportunities.
Your main responsibilities:
- Taking full responsibility for prospecting, quotation, sales and completion of contracts, profitably, in the region
- Agreeing and authoring specifications with clients leading to quotations and tendering
- Defining the territory goals and developing plans
- Managing resources to deliver on time including liaising with customers and suppliers
- Reporting progress against the plan both verbally and in writing
- Mechanical qualification, HNC or higher
- Sales experience within a mechanical engineering discipline
- Profound knowledge of the sales region (North Midlands, Sheffield, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Kingston Upon Hull, Grimsby, Huddersfield, Bradford, Skipton)
- Living in the sales area mentioned above or willing to move there
- Outstanding sales skills: develop new customers and maintain existing customers
- Having a proven record of business to business sales
- Project Management Skills
- Strong analytical skills
- An understanding of different business systems together with an awareness of development technologies and techniques, particularly database-driven systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with end user customer facing & working with steam systems
- Drivers licence
