Teaching Assistant in a Primary School

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in education? We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a costal school located on the Lizard Peninsula. The position is for EYFS and KS1 aged children. The school prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming to all members of the community. A positive attitude and a passion for helping children learn are a must This role is offering 30 hours per week on a full-time fixed term basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment
- Support students in their academic and personal development
- Help with classroom management and behavior strategies
- Provide one-to-one or small group support as directed by the teacher
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events
Requirements:
- A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for working with children
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with different age groups and in various subjects
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
