Position

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Change Manager based at Ailsa Hospital (HYBRID).

What you will do:

You will be a key member of Digital Services with a focus on driving and implementing change initiatives to improve Healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes in NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Working within Digital Services, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the change process, ensuring the smooth assessment and implementation of changes. Directly responsible for delivering best practice Digital Change Management processes providing efficient and effective support to internal Digital technical teams and the wider organisation.

You will be accountable for managing the Change process for all change types, maintaining Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) and the production of management information. You will chair the weekly Technical Support Group (TSG) and Change Advisory Board (CAB).

You will have authority to approve, requirement amendment or reject changes. You will be instrumental in ensuring the change process is adhered to reduce the impact of changes on day to day working and prevent potential disruptions for NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Absolutely essential in this role is the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with multiple departments. You will ensure openness and honesty and to ensure the right outcome is gained for all changes.

You will have significant and proven experience of working in Change Management or Digital service function.

You will also be educated with degree in IT, Business Management or related field, or hold equivalent level of professional IT or Change Management qualification.

Qualified in ITIL Foundation level is desirable.

Hours: 37 per week, working Monday to Friday.

From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff) until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly. NHS Ayrshire and Arran is committed to full implementation of the 37 hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
