Mathematics Teacher – Stevenage (Rapidly Improving School)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a rapidly improving secondary school in Stevenage. Role Overview

The successful candidate will deliver Mathematics lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the ongoing development of the Mathematics department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching)
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the sharing of best practices within the department
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that supports both student learning and well-being
  • Actively participate in the school’s continuous improvement initiatives

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject. You should have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4, with experience or willingness to teach KS5 considered advantageous. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mathematics and committed to raising student achievement in an improving school environment.

Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 levels
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students
  • Commitment to contributing to the school’s wider improvement goals
