A highly reputable Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Cambridge is seeking passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teachers to join their permanent staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom.
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the needs and potential of each student.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in SEN education.
  • Experience with specific SEN conditions such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and their application in the classroom.
