About The Role

Forest Green Rovers F.C. are excited to be looking for a Lead Professional Development Phase Coach to join our Academy team. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Being part of a coaching team working with the U18 squad following the Academy coaching curriculum and aligning with the club’s coaching and playing philosophies. Leading the daily/weekly planning for the U18 squad via the Teamworks platform. Supporting the development and delivery of Individual Learning Plans (ILP’s) for the U18 players. Attending/Leading U18 MDT meetings to feedback on player performance and development needs. Logging coaching sessions and evaluations on the FIP system. Completing match reports, including playing minutes on the FIP. Providing group and individual analysis for players on Hudl. Contributing to Academy Management Team Meetings. Supporting the coaching of the U16 age-group. Planning and delivering player and parent reviews. Planning and reviewing of any loan experiences for our U18 players. This role involves working with children, therefore applying all relevant policies and upholding the Club’s commitment to safeguarding is paramount. The successful candidate may at times be required to carry out additional tasks not outlined in this job description. Weekend availability is required for game days.
