Job summary

We are seeking a Clinical Specialist Renal Dietitian to work in our multi-disciplinary therapy team. Lead by a Clinical Lead Renal Occupational Therapist and Clinical Lead Renal Dietitian, the team is made of dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and therapy assistants - across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Our team supports people living with kidney disease and urological conditions across three wards based at The Royal Free Hospital site, and 5 outpatient centres for low clearance, dialysis and transplantation. The Royal Free is the provider for NCL for urological care (medical and surgical) as well as being the NCL tertiary centre for chronic kidney disease management including renal transplantation. This role is based predominantly off site in the renal outpatient setting, including dialysis units.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional understanding of the complexity of a person living with CKD. Proven experience in autonomous management of people with complex nutritional diagnoses is essential. Experience supporting the development of junior staff will be highly regarded, as will skills in quality improvement, service evaluation or audit. We also consider this role to be critical to our team leadership structure and we are interested in someone who demonstrates a warm and empathetic leadership style.
