Main duties of the job
As a Bank Support Worker, you will join a team that works together to provide care for people with Mental Health conditions. You will utilize your experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker to support service users in their recovery journey. The role can be challenging at times, requiring a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance. However, it is highly rewarding to see people improve and be able to do something today that they couldn't do the week before, thanks to your support. You'll be working at a rehabilitation and recovery service with 24/7 operations and standard shifts, giving you the freedom to choose the shifts you want to work each week.

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker wanting control and flexibility to work the shifts you want?
Whether you’re looking for extra shifts to boost your income or a flexible job that fits around your lifestyle, if you’re an experienced Support Worker in the UK you can join our staff bank and, after completing a paid two-week induction, you’ll have access to available shifts at T Gwyn Hall in Abergavenny, plus the potential future option to work bank shifts regionally at other Elysium services across the region.
There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.
Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at T Gwyn Hall secured that you want.
Whether your experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with Mental Health conditions. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.

The service operates 24/7 with hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.

Location: Llantilio Pertholey, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales, NP7 6NY
You will be working at a rehabilitation and recovery service for people who have been diagnosed with a range of Mental Health conditions.Working as part of the experienced multi-disciplinary team, you will support service users through every stage of their recovery journey within the hospital’s five individual units.
Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park and close to the market town of Abergavenny, South Wales, the hospital is within easy reach of the M4, M5 and national rail networks.
