Role Summary

This apprenticeship is working toward a Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification. The Digital Services Department is offering two month Information Communication Technician - Support Technician Apprenticeships. The Digital Services Service Desk is a small team providing first line support for IMT services to a number of Healthcare organisations across Devon. The successful applicants will work at all times under the supervision of a qualified/experiences member of staff and provide first line support to clients on all matters relating to IT provision.

Examples of the daily responsibilities include:

Eliciting information from clients in a succinct manner. Recording any work requests accurately in our bespoke Service Desk application. Fixing certain issue reported by clients during their initial contact. Creating and managing Active Directory objects. Liaising with both internal and third party support teams.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

Is punctual and reliable. Is a good team player. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Has a positive “can do” attitude. Has a strong desire to follow an IT career pathway.

The successful applicant will undertake an month Information Communication Technician - Support Technician Apprenticeship. You will work towards the following modules:

Networking and Architecture Mobile and Operating Systems Cloud Services Coding and Logic Business Processes Functional skills in IT, English and maths (if required)

The salary equates to % of a Band 3 for the first months and, subsequently, % for the final 6 months.

Successful completion of the Apprenticeship will provide you with the required skill set to apply for future internal and external vacancies.

Working Pattern: hours per week,  Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
