Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Working closely with teachers and specialists, you’ll help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Individual Support: Provide personalised assistance to students with SEMH or moderate learning needs.
  • Classroom Assistance: Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver differentiated lessons and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Intervention Strategies: Assist in implementing behavioural and learning strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Encouragement: Build positive relationships with students to foster confidence and independence.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Prior experience in an SEMH or SEND environment is preferred.
  • Skills: Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to supporting student development.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices is essential.
  • Enhanced DBS: A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
