Complete Classroom Services are working with a **Secondary SEN School** who are looking for a compassionate and dedicated **Learning Support Assistant** to join ASAP. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and contribute to their overall well-being and development.

**Role Overview**:
As a **Learning Support Assistant**, you will work closely with students with autism (**ASD**), Moderate Learning Difficulties (**MLD**), Severe Learning Difficulties (**SLD**), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (**PMLD**). Your role will involve providing one-to-one support and assistance to students, both inside and outside the classroom. You will need to be calm, patient, and empathetic, with excellent teamwork skills. Additionally, you must be willing to undertake all aspects of personal care, including toileting and feeding.

A **Learning Support Assistant** will be responsible for:

- Provide one-to-one support and assistance to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
- Assist students with their academic work, social interactions, and personal care needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers as required.
- Support students during break times and extracurricular activities, promoting their social and emotional development.

The successful **Learning Support Assistant** will have:

- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs
- Calm, patient, and empathetic nature, with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external professionals.
- Willingness to undertake all aspects of personal care, including toileting and feeding.
- Enhanced DBS and good references.

**Safeguarding**

Complete Classroom Services are highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. You will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.

All school-based staff have the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children. All school staff should be aware of the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and work in accordance with this document at all times.

**Salary**: £85.00-£100.00 per day
