Being a specialist secondary care service, we provide evidence-basedinterventions to service users with varied and complex mental health needsalongside age related and physical health needs.
The successful candidate will work within the MDT andindependently, provide a holistic, comprehensive and high quality service thatis collaborative and recovery focused. They will have excellent clinicalskills, effective communication skillsand experience working with severe and enduring mental illness. The successfulapplicant will participate and contribute in the assessment and formulation, planning and implementation of evidence-basedcare for older people. This will involve medication administration, physicalhealth monitoring, and co-facilitating groups.
You will be working for an ACOMHS accredited service, haveexcellent support from the team and be encouraged to further develop yourskills.

Main duties of the job
As a NMC registered Mental Health Nurse you will ;
*Work within your competence, be accountable and responsiblefor your actions, in line with the NMC.
*Work independently and within the MDT, under the guidanceof senior practitioners.
*Collaboratively and comprehensively assess the needs ofservice users, plan, implement and reviewcare.
*Identify, support and manage risk with service users andtheir families. including recognising and reporting safeguarding.
*Undertake physical health monitoring.
*Support delivery of psychosocial interventions.
*Support monitoring of prescribed medication.
*Liaise with families and carers and other professionals.
*Administer depot medication.
*Facilitate group-based interventions such as SCM.
*Supervise and support junior members of staff and students.
*Maintain exceptional clinical standards.
*Maintain all mandatory training, identify professionaldevelopment needs.
*You will hold a full UK driving license.
