Specialist Chill Cleaner - Amesbury 

We’re recruiting at our Amesbury depot a Specialist Chill Cleaner with an experience of warehouse cleaning ideally with HACCP awareness. The Specialist Chill Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of a large industrial warehouse. This role involves cleaning and maintaining various areas, including floors, machinery, and restrooms, to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Shifts available:

  • Monday to Friday; up to 40hr weekly; flexible start time between 06:00am - 09:00am

PLEASE NOTE, TWO DIFFERENT PAY RATES MAY APPLY PER ONE SHIFT, DEPENDING ON WORKING HOURS AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BREAKDOWN BELOW:

Day pay rates:

  • Monday – Friday £11.62 (overtime after 40hrs £14.52)
  • Saturday £14.52
  • Sunday £17.43
  • Bank Holidays £23.24

Nights pay rates:

  • Monday – Friday £14.29 (overtime after 40hrs £17.86)
  • Saturday £17.86
  • Sunday £21.37
  • Bank Holidays £28.58

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust and wipe down surfaces; clean windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Equipment Cleaning: Clean and maintain machinery and equipment, ensuring they are free from dust and debris.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash bins and containers; sort and dispose of waste materials according to company policies.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment; report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Perform deep cleaning tasks as required, including the use of industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment; notify the supervisor when stock is low or equipment needs repair.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain cleaning logs and records as required by the company.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other cleaning staff and warehouse personnel to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in industrial or warehouse cleaning is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment; knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper use; strong attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects; ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Certifications: Certification in industrial cleaning or safety training is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Work primarily in an industrial warehouse setting, which may include exposure to noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Schedule: Full-time position with varying shifts; overtime may be required during busy periods.
