What you will be doing:
Own and manage all aspects of the Accounts Receivable Ledgers covering transactional management, administration and associated controls Proactively drive debtor days to an optimal level by ensuring the proactive management of customer of accounts Proactively drive down the volume and value of overdue accounts by identifying route cause and recommending options to fix Completion of month end duties including ledger closures, journals, reconciliations, preparation and interpretation of KPI metrics Work closely with the sales team and other commercial departments to resolve customer queries, ensure smooth order processing and minimise credit risk Assist with Accounts Receivable queries as and when necessary, driving the speedily processing of invoice through query management Support the implementation of new and existing credit processes and procedures across the business Ensure that all customer receipts are entered onto the customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner. This includes all BACS, card, cheque and DD receipts Onboard and integrate the AR function of any newly acquired businesses Manage and review bad debt and credit note provisioning and reporting monthly To lead, manage and develop team of direct reports Maintain a suite of process and control documentations in regards to credit policy Conduct regular reviews of customers limits, payment history and terms Maintain and Review Inter-Company BalancesWhat we’re looking for:
Ideally you will have strong Credit Control Management experience and hold a professional qualification (eg CICM or alternative) Proven track record in collection of debts Worked with a large number of customers ranging from owner managed through to international blue-chip. Competent Knowledge and experience in Finance, a good all rounder Previous experience of working within a fast-paced team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including in both written and oral. Advanced Excel Skills including logical functional (IF, OR, AND), data functions (Vlookup, Hlookup), and array functions, and ability to analysis large volumes of data. Must be business oriented with sound customer service skills, other internally and externally. Able to confidently discuss overdue accounts with other teams and directly with customers who may have overdue accounts. Experience in cash book maintenance and strong knowledge of accounting and credit control procedures High level of accuracy and attention to details Enjoys working in fast paced environmentWhy Microlise?
