An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or existing Band 5 physiotherapist to join our site-based Band 5 Rotation scheme at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.
The current rotation scheme includes:
• Specialist Medicine (includes Cardiology, Respiratory, Renal, Infectious diseases etc..)
• Acute Stroke Services
• Adult Intensive Care
• Neurotrauma (includes Neurosurgery/Neurology and Major trauma/Ortho-Plastics)
• Mixed Surgical specialities including ring fenced orthopaedic beds
• Musculoskeletal Outpatients (RLH Sports Therapy team and Mile End Hospital Community health referrals)
The ideal candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic, display a willingness to learn, and be a team player. The therapy team has a strong ethos for clinical/team development, innovative educational programmes, research and Quality improvement/audit opportunities. The role involves being a member of the Respiratory On-call rota, as well as covering a weekend service.
The post is full time and suitable for individuals who:
• Have qualified with a degree in Physiotherapy
• Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered

Main duties of the job
o To work in a diverse multicultural environment and refine and develop experience across specialist physiotherapy areas and rotations in our RLH/MEH site six monthly rotation
o To deliver specialised physiotherapeutic intervention to patients using highly developed skills in assessment and treatment of patients. This includes the delivery of exercise programmes and giving advice, information and emotional support to patients and carers in a wide variety of settings.
o To participate in the rotation scheme, which involves working across the Royal London Hospital and Mile End Hospital.
o To contribute to the development of evidence-based practice and clinical effectiveness during each rotation.
o To participate in the emergency and on call rota across the Royal London Hospital site (and as required across the wider Barts Health sites).
