A fantastic opportunity has arisen within one of our prestigious sites in Central London for a Security Supervisor. You will be self-driven with a proactive mindset to lead a security focused team and deliver a high quality of customer service to both our clients and service users.


We offer a pay rate of £14 per hour with a holiday entitlement of 25.2 days inclusive of bank holidays.


As the Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day security operations and your team by setting an example as a strong, caring and inspiring supervisor with an ability to champion success and support where necessary. You will be self-motivated, confident in your communications and deal with all levels of stakeholders as second nature, with regular, meaningful interactions with the client.


The ideal candidate will possess an extensive knowledge of supervisory skills, an innate understanding of team leadership and an intuitive approach to delivering an exemplary occupier and visitor experience that exceeds expectations. 


Important: The candidate must be willing to work unconventional work pattern:

Week 1: Saturday to Sunday 07:00 to 19:00 then Monday to Wednesday 19:00 to 07:00

Week 2: Saturday to Sunday 07:00 to 19:00 then Monday to Tuesday 19:00 to 07:00


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee all aspects of your team and report to the Security Manager
  • Ensure all staff on the shift are fully trained and compliant with policies & procedures.
  • Ensure shift handovers are reviewed and completed to a high standard
  • Proactively supervise the team to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Ensure completion of comprehensive incident reports and submitted within the agreed timeframe
  • Provide a prompt, polite and professional service at all times
  • Oversee the Security Control Room
  • Audit keys and assets
  • Collaborate with other service providers and wider security team to achieve shared goals through a 'one-team approach'
  • Must have a full understanding of the cross functions covered by each division i.e., Post Room, Loading Bay, Security Control Room, Incident Management.
  • Planning and implementing solutions in a dynamic environment to ensure security is not compromised and works or events are facilitated
  • Must have indepth understanding and competence of Physical Protective Systems, such as CCTV & access control, key management, x-ray systems etc.
  • Respond to all emergencies e.g. bomb threats, fire alarms, intrusion, protests etc.
  • Ensure all staff on duty have full uniform and of high standard with a clean-cut presentation at all times

 

Minimum Candidate Specification


  • Must have a valid Door Supervisor and CCTV licence
  • Encourages open and honest communication.
  • Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self motivated team player that is willing to lead by example
  • Motivates members through vision, inspiration, confidence and positive energy.
  • Previous experience in staff management/supervision or similar roles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Must have a clear understanding and able to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills whilst maintaining a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
  • Able to work weekend day shifts and weekday nights
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure and must be fit to carry out all duties.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and be able to write professional e-mails to key stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with confidence, using own initiative and have strong leadership skills
