We are currently seeking a passionate Pastry Chef to help run our kitchen here at House of George.   


This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to be a part of the launch of the House of George Hotel, nestled in the beautiful town of Broadway in the Cotswolds.


This role will allow you to work in a 28-cover restaurant. We’re looking for someone to be a part of, and work closely with the management team to create a unique dining experience using the best produce in the British Isles.


As Pastry Chef, you will be passionate, experienced, adaptive and creative. We want someone who can work well in a team. As a Team leader. And as a Mentor. 


Applicants must be of modern stature, meaning you are keen to make sure the entire team is looked after from a well-being and educational point of view.


We want someone who can help build a solid team and work closely with the Head Chef and Sous chef to push the hotel forward at all times, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge with passion. 


What we expect:



  • Previous and relative experience in a hotel or similar venue within the pastry section
  • Overall management & responsibility for the pastry section of the kitchen 
  • Ensures the production and service of the food in the section matches the vision of the venue and the Head Chef 
  • Maintain the sustainable standards focusing on sourcing local, organic, and seasonal produce whilst minimising the waste in the kitchen 
  • Assist with the management of stock in the section 
  • Contribute to the overall development of the hotel business by input of ideas 
  • Ensure all staff training is completed for any junior staff in the section 
  • Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH Requirements 
  • Ensure good communication throughout the kitchen department 
  • Liaises with FOH staff to ensure an efficient food service delivery to the guests and all hotel clients
