Job Duties:- Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
- Support students in their academic and social development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Record and report student progress and behaviour to the SENCO and other relevant staff
- Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
- Experience working with children or young adults with ASD and other SEN
- Understanding of the challenges and needs of students with ASD
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:- Knowledge of SEN policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students with SEN
- First Aid certification
- Makaton or PECS training
This role involves working within a school setting, following school hours and term times. The work may require physical activity and the ability to handle challenging behaviour. Training and support will be provided as necessary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
