We are looking for an experienced Procurement Assistant to support the Group Procurement Manager in the sourcing and supply of all products and services essential for the group’s day-to-day operations.

You will be collating and analysing tender proposals where you will evaluate pricing, specification content and quality to identify the most competitive supply chain option for the business quickly and accurately.

Strong excel skills and spreadsheet experience is integral for this role where you may be working on a number of projects at the same time. You will have experience in an Administration role where you can demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking skills and manage time effectively and aligned with the needs of the business whilst being applying initiative, logic and the ability to work alone when required. Accuracy and efficiency all key to the role as is a willingness to learn and implement.

Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Friday

*There are aspects of this role that may involve you being available to work outside of normal business working hours, for instance at events or when meeting business deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Day to day support of the Procurement Function, to ensure communication and workload is managed effectively, efficiently and in line with the needs of the business supporting all stakeholders across various and varying categories
  • Management and update the Supplier Database
  • Assist in the negotiation of contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers quickly and accurately
  • Review quality of purchased products
  • Upload and maintain supply details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis
  • Research potential vendors
  • Enforce and integrate procurement policies and procedures
  • Ultimately, create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time

Requirements

  • Advanced Skills in Excel and Database management (compulsory)
