Job responsibilities

To assist the Head ofOutreach Services (HOS) and ORS Senior Staff Nurse in providing a responsiveand Holistic service for people living with life limiting conditions in ourcommunity, that is tailored to individuals needs.

The role involvesholistic nursing assessments, family support, liaising with internal andexternal professionals, facilitation of groups and supporting with ORSdevelopments.

Duties will be carriedout according to the philosophy of the Hospice, always acting in such a manneras to justify public trust and confidence.

Genuine interest in Palliative Care Ability to demonstrate development of clinical expertise in symptom control. Committed to furthering professional skills & development. Clinically up to date in general nursing care Experience of working in a multi-professional team Understanding of the nature of palliative nursing Knowledge of clinical governance requirements Ability to deputise effectively for Senior Staff Nurse
