Job Title: SEN Outreach Tutor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Outreach Tutor to provide Maths and English support to students with ADHD, ASD, and Autism. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

Job Summary:

The SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for assessing the students' current ability and reintroducing education into their routine. The tutor will work with students at a lower level, focusing on Maths and English skills. Lessons will take place in a local library or the student's home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students' current ability and develop a personalized learning plan
  • Provide Maths and English support to students with ADHD, ASD, and Autism
  • Work with students at a lower level, focusing on core subjects
  • Reintroduce education into students' routines
  • Collaborate with the student's support team to ensure a cohesive approach
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Ability to think creatively and work outside the box
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
  • Two professional child-related references
