The Business Support Administrator willwork as part of a team delivering an efficient and effective BusinessManagement Support service to the Sheffield Place team.

The successful candidate willwork flexibly as part ofthe wider Corporate Governance team, support the Director of CorporateGovernance and Board Secretary to deliver effective and compliant services andmaintain business continuity.

Main duties of the job

As thefirst point of contact for the team, managing a range of queries and issuesfrom colleagues, service users and a range oforganisations.

Ensurecomplaints, comments and suggestions are dealt with sensitively and helpfully,referring on as needed.

Explainsometimes complex administrative and teamprocesses in an understandable way to colleagues, patients or external organisations.

Workingtogether with other administrators/PAs across the organisations to provide an effective network ofcommunication including dealing with visitors and being flexible to cover otheradministrators general duties.

Promotea positive image of the Service in all dealings; being professional, tactfuland helpful.

Exercise judgement whendealing with queries, resolving issues where possible and escalating as appropriate.

Plan and carry out administrative tasks, working independently, takingguidance andadvicefrom line manager.

Prepareword processing documents, letters, emails and reports when/if required.

Plan andorganise meetings for the Sheffield Place team and plan any administrative work as required.

Prepare agendas and take notes at meetings.

Essential

Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised, within defined policies and procedures. Good customer service skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to use tact and persuasion to support problem solving. Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software such as Microsoft Office. Able to maintain concentration on tasks through interruptions.

Qualifications

NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
