As a Lead Launch Engineer within JLR Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) you will manage the operations team to deliver all new model launch activities for JLR vehicle lines into SVO Manufacturing facilities. There will be a focus on the planning, management, and delivery of all Operational requirements to ensure flawless launch to enable Operational readiness. You will work alongside all areas that have equity in launch activities across the business including but not limited to Commercial, Engineering and Manufacturing - to ensure value for money is achieved recognising the safety, quality, and delivery objectives.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

● To manage the launch Operations team in all elements of the build delivery to ensure a "Flawless launch" in alignment to JLR PCDS milestone deliverables and gateways
● Work on the delivery of all relevant Launch Quality Operating System guidelines activity both in terms of management, control & delivery by milestone & build phase
● Assist in the planning and control of all activities by build phase via creation of Master Schedule and achievement of Scorecard metrics
● Work on the delivery of all post build reworks & quality validation activities to achieve customer delivery dates & quality standards
● Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and Current Manufacturing Engineers in problem resolution via Automated Issues Management Systems and Problem & Countermeasure process
● Effective planning & delivery of all workforce readiness activity including hiring plans

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

● Previous experience of Product Launch in Manufacturing 
● Experience in supervising operational teams to achieve delivery targets
● Experienced in Manufacturing process
● Understanding of vehicle programme delivery processes & procedures
● Awareness of Quality Operating Systems including Launch Quality Operating Systems & Integrated Product Structure

● Ability to make short presentations to work groups and senior management
