We now have an exciting opportunity for a Validation Technologist to join the China Compliance team, being responsible for the establishment and execution of the site validation master plan. As part of the team you will be responsible for measuring, analyzing, and validating the manufacturing process, ensuring that the validation process confirms product and process consistently meets the highest quality standards.

You are required to ensure that all documentation demonstrates the process leads to consistent and reproducible results that confirms Nutricia Liverpool delivers products of consistent, specified quality and uncompromising safety, in line with Danone Specialised Nutrition Quality Ambition. Building relationships both internally and externally that challenge and support technical excellence is key to the success of this position. 

You will work alongside stakeholders to drive and development and Improvement of all shop floor based activities, whilst driving continuous improvement and a Right First-Time culture throughout the organisation. A must is maintaining and improving quality standards using principles of lean manufacturing techniques / methodologies (. IWS / SQCDME).

KPI’s & Escalation:

Responsible for Ensure that any issues relating to safety or legality of product are identified and communicated to the Quality Compliance Manager / Head of Quality and the Supply Point Director for review at a strategic level.

Responsible for providing reports as required by the Site Management team or other designated Managers. Produce regular quality performance reports to assist Production Managers in eliminating non-conformances. Develop and maintain an organised record keeping system within the site.

Budget Controls

Responsible for producing an annual area budget for all activities relating to Validation

Responsible for providing the Quality Compliance Manager with a monthly budget report outlining Actual versus Forecast – detailing reason for deviation where applicable as well as identifying cost recovery activities where appropriate

Responsible for identifying cost saving opportunities and optimization of tasks to deliver budget benefit and support departmental productivity opportunities

Continuous Improvement

Champion and identify opportunities to develop business capability in relation to continuous improvement initiatives. Work on projects as required to implement lean initiatives and continuously improve our technical capability and conformance.

Provides technical support and expertise in quality related problem solving, risk analysis groups Responsible for working collaboratively with the operations and engineering function to deliver sustainable solutions to drive a continuous improvement mindset Working alongside the Quality Compliance Manager to assist in the generation, execution, and maintenance of the annual site validation programme Provide technical support and expertise in quality related problem solving, risk analysis groups. Identify and deliver longer term continuous improvement project commitments. Attends daily performance review meeting (Short Interval Management), solves daily nonconformity. Responsible for leading appropriate quality committees & improvement action plans

About You

Technical background, Science, engineering background required. Experience of FMCG companies and medical foods industry would be particularly beneficial. Must be experienced at managing and prioritising own workload. Education / training: NVQ level 3, ONC HNC in engineering, Project Management, practical awareness of DSEAR would be beneficial. Experience in research and development or ability to demonstrate problem solving experience required. Previous experience in technical management role beneficial. Technical experience of bulk powder handling would be an advantage.
