Wilder World is a photorealistic immersive Metaverse powered built on Ethereum, Unreal Engine 5 and ZERO.tech. Wilder World is a virtual world made up of various micro games where participants can play together using different Player vs Player and Play to Earn modes, the first of which being our racing game powered by collection titled Wilder Wheels. You will be able to explore the vast land of our first city titled Wiami to find rare NFTs and hang out with friends. In addition to that players can roam freely and express themselves through unique decorative digital assets and fashionable accessories that have super-like powers. These assets can be purchased through our NFT market called the Wilder World Metaverse Market where you can collect, trade and sell NFTs using our native WILD token.

WILDER WORLD – Lighting/VFX Artist (Remote - Europe)

As Wilder World's Lighting/VFX Artist you will collaborate with our team to build visually stunning 3D VFX for our beautiful first digital city - Wiami.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-quality Visual Effects in response to story, art direction, and gameplay directives.
  • Translate reference, concept art, storyboards, written game design briefs, and verbal directions into prototypes and implement real-time 3D VFX in-game
  • Create and optimize VFX to run within performance limitations
  • Collaborate with Production to prioritize and coordinate the teams tasks to ensure that deliverables are completed on time
  • Work with Art Direction to define VFX priority lists and strategy - communicating these plans as required.
  • Work with Art and Programming teams to anticipate and solve technical challenges within given constraints and visual requirements
  • Research and develop new industry technology and trends to improve the project's visual quality and efficiency

Requirements

  • Experience working with 3D packages and in-game FX systems to create a wide range of VFX.
  • Mid to senior level of professional VFX experience in the AAA game industry
  • Experience providing VFX with a minimum of two shipped AAA 3D game titles
  • Proficient in creating high-quality VFX using Maya, Houdini, or other equivalent tools
  • Experience with Unreal Engine
  • Able to balance quality vs technical constraints for efficient development of high quality product.
  • Understanding of weight, timing, and animation
  • Strong Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
