About the role:

Under the programmanager the project manager is responsible for the outcome of theassigned projects. The project manager leads the team through theCommonwealth Standard for Project Management for successfulcompletion of the project phases: Preselect Initiation PlanningExecution and Control and Closeout.

Qualifications

Required:

A minimum of 5 years of project experience in ITinfrastructure delivery Network infrastructure Network architecturewireless technologies Cloud implementation vendormanagement.

Familiarity with telecommunicationsnetwork technologies network standards and practices.

Manage projects consisting of network switches routersfirewalls load balancers VPN fiber optics and internetservices.

Experience in the modern fabricbasednetworks Network Fabric underlay overlay and SD WAN Experience withVoIP infrastructure a plus.

Experience managinglarge multistream projects.

Preferred:

Experience in both Agile andWaterfall project management..

AgileScrum Master certification

MicrosoftOffice products (Word Excel Access Outlook Visio PowerPoint ProjectServer)

SpecialInstructions to Applicants:

PMPcertification from PMI or PM certification from VITA is required noother certification qualifies.

Skill Required / Desired Amount ofExperience

Current Project ManagementProfessional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)Required 10 Years

Candidate must have aminimum of 15 years experience managing large projects Required 15Years

Solid understanding of softwaredevelopment life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of bothAgile and Waterfall project management principles. Required 5Years

Balance business/technical background withsufficient level of technical background to provide highly credibleleadership to technology teams. Nice to have 3 Years.

Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Access Outlook VisioPowerPoint Project Server) Required 5 Years
