We’re on the lookout for a creative andhardworking individual, initially on a 12-month temporary contract.We need a designer who is confident working on both print anddigital, with a little bit of motion graphics added at times tooIf you have illustration skills, then even better. You’llbe reporting to the Design & Content Manager and workingclosely with designers, videographers and marketeers, as well asliaising with lots of team members from around thebusiness.

Commercial awareness is key; the BiGDUGmarketing team produces creative for 5 brands within theBiGDUG/Takkt family of brands in the UK, so ensuring you stay ontop of priorities is a must.

At times we needall hands on deck when we are working on larger projects andmarketing campaigns. This might mean you’re mucking in onphotoshoots, building our products or helping tidy our photographystudio for the next large shoot. As a team we all muck in to getthe job the done, and we enjoy ourselves along the way.

You’ll need to work collaboratively onmultiple projects often at the same time whilst managing yourworkloads and timescales.

Mainresponsibilities:

  • Collaborative working within a tight-knit marketing teamto build campaigns around the arising business needs.
  • A core responsibility will be the design and productionof marketing and sales emails, spanning 5 brands within the TAKKTand BiGDUG family of brands.
  • Production ofother marketing and sales promotional material, including but notlimited to; web and social assets, printed literature, large scaledesign.
  • Production of product-basedliterature, such as assembly instructions and technical productdocuments, as well as amendments to existing documents.
  • Presenting concepts for large campaigns to seniorstakeholders within the business.
  • Collaborating with other creatives in the team to ensurea common vision and consistent branding.
  • Working across multiple brands within the BiGDUG group ofbrands and wider within the parent company TAKKT.
  • Conceptual design through to completion, with fullownership of consistent brand styles.

What we’re looking for inyou:

  • A creativethinker who isn’t afraid to make mistakes but is eager to correctthem.
  • A degree in graphic design or otherrelated subjects isn’t essential,self-taught creatives will most certainly be considered. However,degree or no degree, you must have an outstanding portfolio of workand be able to visually show us your experience, creativity, andattention to detail.
  • It is essential that youcan evaluate and critique your own work as well as teammate’s workin an effective, constructive, and timely manner.
  • High levels of attention to detail are a must whilstmaintaining an eye on the bigger picture and commercialbenefit.
  • Previous experience in creativelychallenging industries is a bonus. Although we’re more interestedin how you interpret and challenge a brief.
  • Experience of design for online and offline work, with aworking knowledge of print processes and filetreatments.
  • Experience in Adobe CC,specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is a must.
  • Ideally you will have skills and experienceof using Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro.
    Skills andexperience of HTML code would be an advantage.
  • Experience of Microsoft programs, such as Word,PowerPoint, and Excel as well as SharePoint or other similar onlinesystems.
  • Experience of wireframing, mock-upsand test builds using Adobe XD (or other programs) would beadvantageous although not essential.
  • Theeffective use of conceptual skills such as sketching, scamps andmood boards would be great to see in your portfolio.
  • Solid understanding of key Graphic Design principles;layout, colour, hierarchy, typography, imagery, and brand awarenessetc.
  • An understanding and interest in UXdesign principles would be advantageous.
  • Confidence to communicate and explain your ideas to awide variety of people from across the business.
