Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Protocol Education is seeking a caring, supportive and dedicated SEND Teaching assistant who has experience working with pupils in small groups or on a one to one basis, fors shools in and around Sutton.

Location:

South East England, Sutton.

Job Type:

Permanent, Term Time, Full-Time hours 8:30-15:30

£419.25 - £500 Per week + PAYE

Qualifications:

Teaching Assistant Level 1

Skills:

SEMH, First Aid, Challenging behaviour, Speech and Language

Job Duties:
  • Supporting classroom activities under the guidance of a qualified teacher
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Providing one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive behaviour
Required Qualifications:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification
  • First Aid certification
Education:

Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification.

Experience:

Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ASD., is desirable.

Experience in a school setting.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Knowledge of speech and language development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or higher
Working Conditions:
  • Working in a classroom setting
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff
