What you’ll be doing

as a Trunk Sewer Technician Day to day you will be maintaining and operating the sewer network and its associated assets while carrying out basic mechanical maintenance and fault finding. Complete planned, emergency, and defect maintenance of the trunk sewer network. Complete manual handling activities to operate large mechanical assets and grounds maintenance; therefore, you must be physically fit and prepared to work in a challenging environment daily.

Please note this role involves work on a shift pattern, with 1 week of nights in 5, and completing an out-of-hours call-out rota.

Week 1 Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:45 pm. Week 2 Monday -Thursday 6:30 am - 3:45 pm. Week 3 Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:45 pm. Week 4 Monday -Thursday 6:30 am - 3:45 pm. Week 5 Monday -Thursday - Night shift- 9 PM - 5:30 am.

The base location for the role is East and North London 

What you should bring to the role

Previous experience in maintenance and particular mechanical bias, with previous qualifications desirable but not essential. Have a proactive approach to your work and demonstrate that you can work positively and effectively within a team environment. You must be clean-shave due to Health & Safety requirements. A valid UK driving license and own vehicle are required, HGV is preferable, but training will be provided for this as required.

Competitive salary from £22,800 to £28,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service.
