About the role:

Activate Learning is looking to recruit a Group Desktop Technician to offer IT technical support in collaboration with the broader IT team across the group.

This role will be predominately based at our Oxford campus providing onsite technical support and advice to staff and students on hardware and software issues, and to maintain and install IT equipment.

You will also be responsible for providing first and second line technical support and coordinating with 3rd line, along with supporting customers face to face.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37 hours per week at our City of Oxford College campus. The role also requires occasional travel to other sites across the group, with travel/mileage expenses available for any travel from your base college.

What do you need to be successful as a Group Desktop Technician at Activate Learning?

The post holder will have a strong background in IT and be able to demonstrate good technical troubleshooting abilities, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of the team.

You will have excellent communication skills and customer service experience. Working in an environment where two days are never the same, you will need to manage user expectations whilst priorities demanding workload.
