We are looking for qualified Pharmacy Technician’s registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) to join our pharmacotherapy team in our pharmacy base in Dunfermline.

You will have an accuracy checking qualification, a proven track record for patient care within pharmacy and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and IT skills. Experience of primary care would be desirable for this post.

NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate aims to provide the highest quality pharmaceutical care to the people of Fife. We serve a population of approximately 380,000 people and the service we provide is delivered by an integrated team of around 300 Pharmacy staff.

We have an opportunity for Pharmacy Technician’s with relevant work experience to join our already established team in the pharmacy base at Lynebank Hospital. You will deliver a clinical pharmacy service to our GP practices and the role will include a range of tasks including medicines reconciliation, review of discharge and outpatient letters, acute, repeat and serial prescription requests, answering medication related queries and medication reviews. You will also undertake prescribing audits and medication cost efficiency projects.

You will be supported by and work closely with our existing team consisting of Pharmacists, Senior Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers and GP Practice Clinicians. Systems training and support will be provided.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
