We’re excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Technical Skills Manager to lead the creation and management of our technical training functions across the UK and Nordics. This is your chance to drive meaningful change in the development of our engineering teams and elevate their capabilities to new heights. As the Technical Skills Manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build these programs from the ground up, directly influencing the success of our Service Centres. Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Design and implement competency frameworks from the ground up, ensuring alignment with business needs across the UK and Nordics. Develop and manage comprehensive technical skills assessments, identifying gaps and creating tailored training plans to address local needs. Take full accountability for the technical skills, driving consistency and excellence in training delivery across our teams. Lead the design of in-house and third-party training programs, while managing relationships with external training providers and ensuring performance against agreed SLAs. Establish processes for evaluating training effectiveness, including ROI measurement and competency assessments, to ensure continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Proven experience in designing and implementing competency frameworks from scratch, ensuring alignment with business objectives across multiple regions. Strong ability to develop and manage technical skills assessments, identifying skill gaps and creating bespoke training plans. Demonstrated accountability for managing technical skills components, ensuring consistency and excellence.
