Job summary

A position has arisen on the Gynaecology Ward on Ward 1 at Furness General Hospital of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust for a Clinical Support Worker, there are various hours available with various shift patterns

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team providing high quality, compassionate, patient focused care to work within the Gynaecology Team at the FGH

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Main duties of the job

Working under supervision you will be required to work flexibly within the team which includes some rotation to Gynaecology Outpatient Department to support clinical service delivery within the department.

You must possess excellent communication, IT and customer care skills and demonstrate an ability to work both independently and as part of the wider team.

About us

We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Person Specification

Good general education

Essential

Completion of the NHS Care Certificate or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3 Or willing to complete the care certificate within the first 3 months of employment.

Knowledge of care and related procedures Experience with manual handling of patients, using lifting aids Experience of completing patient care records
