An opportunity has a risen to work between the Outpatient Departments at Furness General Hospital & Ulverston Community Health Centre (UCHC), University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust for Clinical Support Workers Band 2, there are two positions available 1 x 24hr & 1 x 28hr per week

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. Providing high quality, compassionate, patient focused care within the Out Patient Department at Furness General Hospital & Ulverston CHC.

Working under the supervision of trained staff to support daily Outpatient clinics both at FGH and Ulverston Outpatients.

Working under supervision you will be required to work flexibly within the team which will include evening and weekend shifts to support clinical service delivery within the department.

You must possess excellent communication, IT and customer care skills and demonstrate an ability to work both independently and as part of the wider team.

It would be desirable if you possessed an NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care.

Previous experience in an outpatient or clinical setting an advantage.

We are a diverse team working between two sites, covering Outpatient clinics for both medicine and surgery services.

We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
