The RoleAs Head of Business, you will play a key role in leading a team of dedicated teachers, shaping the business curriculum to provide an engaging, high-quality educational experience. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day management of the department, supporting professional development for staff, and contributing to the school’s broader leadership goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive business curriculum aligned with school values.
- Inspire and guide the department staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with school leadership to promote integrated learning and enhance academic outcomes.
- Track and assess student progress to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Engage positively with students, parents, and colleagues to support an inclusive and respectful school culture.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring Business Teacher with a history of success in the classroom. You should bring a proactive approach to leadership, with the skills to motivate and guide both students and colleagues. Previous experience in a leadership capacity is ideal but not required for applicants who demonstrate readiness for this next career step.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in teaching Business at the secondary level.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
