Finance Apprentice

These are key roles in supporting our vision as you’ll support our internal and external customers with their payment transactions whilst working towards a Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship.

About the role and person:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 2-year Fixed Term Contract

Always motivated to achieve brilliant standards of service, our Finance Apprentices will support either the Accounts Payable or Customer Payments team, building their Finance knowledge and working towards their accreditation with the support of their colleagues.

You’ll gain experience in areas such as:

  • Managing supplier payments
  • Managing income receipts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Building relationships across the business
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Handling emails
  • Logging and following up queries
  • General finance administration within the finance department

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Finance Apprentice?

  • GCSE Maths & English Grade 4 or above.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to good customer service.
  • Computer literate with the ability to pick up new systems.
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage workload.

Location

The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our  Bradford  office and will be required to travel around the region to meet customers.

We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs.

We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £21,840 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
