The Asset Servicing Analyst will assist in the administration and processing corporate actions and dividends for the firm and clients of the firm, client requests to transfer assets to other provider and other asset servicing tasks as required.

This is to be done whilst adhering to regulatory & product specific requirements, control the administrative duties that form these areas, to ensure the service meets regulatory requirements and client service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the processing of corporate actions, dividends, income, fund conversions and any associated claims; ensuring that they are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensuring the timely processing and delivery of shareholder information, such as proxy voting or shareholder disclosure to companies.
  • Process asset and cash transfers as per the client instructions by communicating with clients, custodians, and ceding parties to ensure timely and accurate completion. 
  • Ensure internal and external SLAs are adhered to and ensure high level of service are provided to clients and stakeholders, with a focus on ensuring good client outcomes.
  • Ensure all daily & periodic tasks are completed, including the investigation and resolution of reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, and custodians to ensure timely resolution of queries.
  • Escalate reconciliation, process, control and regulatory issues to the team lead or department manager.
  • Ensure all market, broker and client deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the ensuring that procedures are in place, regularly updated and adhered to.

Essential criteria:

  • Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career within Financial Markets
  • Effective and proficient communication and written skills.
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to focus and commit to delivering against deadlines.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and deal with multiple issues via different forums.
  • Ability to prioritise, be responsive, deal with ambiguity, and respond to changing environments.

Desired criteria:

  • Have previous awareness of CASS 6 and 7 and where the regulations impact the role.
  • Basic understanding of corporate action events and the purpose of client transfer
  • Understanding of proxy voting
