What You’ll Do


Principal's Global Equity team is searching for an experienced Consumer Staples analyst. This candidate will work with a diverse team of portfolio managers and analysts supporting research and recommendations


In this role, you’ll be able to:

  • Provide and continue to build expertise Globally in the Consumer Staples sector;
  • Partner closely with other analysts and portfolio managers to provide outperformance through stock selection, while working within the framework of our process and portfolio constraints;
  • Monitor, research, and analyze industry and worldwide economic conditions. Independently analyze the impact economic and industry trends have on specific investments and convey findings to senior staff;
  • In conjunction with senior analysts, apply company and economic analysis to project revenue and net income performance for specific companies and industries. Within current firm strategy, recommend investments that will result in profitable results; and;
  • Provide buy, sell, and hold recommendations consistent with our investment philosophy

Who You Are

  • MBA or Master of Science with finance emphasis and Chartered Financial Analyst designation (or progress towards CFA);
  • 2 years (five highly preferred) equity investment experience ;
  • Global equity experience in the Consumer sector;
  • Use of proprietary quantitative tools demonstrating experience in fundamental analysis;
  • Knowledge of sophisticated investment vehicles, thorough understanding of firm's investment strategy and philosophy, business acumen, analytical, superior judgment, and total rate of return mentality.

Location(s)

Based in our London office. This role offers hybrid working, with four days a week in the office.
