Requirements

Outline of Key responsibilities in the Senior Project Officer role....

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Youth Workers in delivering high-quality youth work programs and activities
  • Leading your team to design, develop and deliver impactful youth sessions
  • Work alongside young people to support and promote their voice, including involvement in decisions and strategies that impact their lives and communities
  • Build positive and trusted relationships with young people, their families, and partner organizations
  • Create safe and supportive environments where young people can access support, develop skills, and achieve their goals
  • Deliver interventions and activities that address the specific needs of young people, providing information, advice, and guidance on key issues they face
  • Monitor and evaluate youth programs to ensure effectiveness and impact
  • Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders, partner organisations, and services to raise awareness of youth issues and identify solutions.

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Full UK driving license and access to a car.
  • Prior experience working as a Project Officer or in a similar capacity, with a focus on supporting young people aged 8 to 24 years old
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to work towards
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people and stakeholders
  • A commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people
  • Understanding of the challenges and issues faced by young people and knowledge of available support services
  • Passion for supporting young people
  • Understanding of youth-related challenges and support services

  • Starting salary of £29,582
  • Annual pay scale increase
  • 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays (Full time equivalent)
  • You will be based out on site at our Blackburn Hub BB1.
  • 37 hours, will include working 3 evening per week- up to 10pm.
