Role Overview:

As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of secondary schools in the areas of Whalley Range, Moss Side, Levenshulme, Parrs Wood, and Gorton. You will step into diverse classroom environments, supporting students' learning journeys and delivering engaging lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans to students in various subjects and year groups.
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement and achievement.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Providing constructive feedback and support to students to aid their academic progress.
  • Collaborating with school staff and fellow educators to uphold academic standards and meet learning objectives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in different classroom settings.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
