Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Clinical Education team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and this is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to help shape the future of the Registered Nurse workforce at ULHT. You will act as a lead for a range of educational programmes within the trust, and have the opportunity to develop these along with local and national policy. You will also have an impact on the ongoing CPD of our nursing colleagues within ULHT.

Main duties of the job

If you are successful, you will have the amazing opportunity to help to ensure the strategic direction of ULHT is supported by a workforce which is equipped with the clinical skills and knowledge to deliver high quality care to our patients.

You will work closely with other Clinical Education lead nurses, managing a team of clinical education nurses, and admin staff.

You will work in close partnership with divisional departments, and local Universities, ensuring that healthcare students are welcomed and nurtured in our organisation. You will also build great relationships with our external partners like Health Education England.

To meet this challenge, you will have specialist knowledge in the field of education and learning and be confident in dealing with the clinical needs of the organisation. You will use analytical skills as well as excellent communication, leadership, organisation and team-working skills.

As an organisation of some 7,500 staff providing acute services from hospitals in Lincoln, Boston, Grantham and Louth, flexibility to work across the organisation is essential, and we offer a flexible working schedule.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the new medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service

Louth Hospital is set on the edge of the Wolds and serves the communities of Louth and the local area. It provides day case surgery, outpatients, and x-ray and endoscopy services
